Thanks to high-quality gas pistons, the top of the bed is easy to lift when accessing the storage area. They support the weight of the bed and mattress, so it can easily be lifted up to access underneath. Once the bed is in its elevated position, it will hold its position so that you can access your stored items with ease, and them simply lower the base down, so the gas pistons take the weight and ease the bed back into the flat position.
