A small double ottoman bed measures 4ft x 6.3ft (120cm x 190cm) making them a great choice for older children’s bedrooms, spare rooms and for solo sleepers who want extra space to spread out in smaller sized bedrooms.

The gas-assisted pistons are designed to lift and hold the bed slats and mattress up and in place whilst you access the storage space and then safely close the bed when you’re finished. Just be sure to ensure you don’t exceed whatever the manufacturers recommended weight limit is on top of the mattress platform when lifting it. For example, make sure nobody is sitting or playing on the bed as you lift it.
It’s probably a good idea to also either operate your ottoman bed when children or animals aren’t around or take extra care when they are. Just in case they play with it or you accidentally close the bed with them in it without realising. We’d also recommend ensuring the bed is closed whenever you leave the room for this reason too.
