Headboards not only make stylish and decorative bedding accessories, but they're also good for providing you with plenty of support for when you're sitting upright and watching TV or reading a book in bed. Allowing you to lean back without feeling the hard cold wall, they’re great ways to help with your posture!
Acting as a barrier between you and your bed, the headboard protects the wall from any scratches and marks as time goes on. Plus, they also act as a sound barrier between the wall and your bed, dampening any noise that’s coming from outside or next door.
Beyond functionality, headboards make the centrepiece of the room, so to speak. With the right colour tones and fabrics, you can contrast or match your surrounding decor with your headboard, making your bed a striking focal point in the bedroom space.
Attaching your headboard to your bed is easy - all you need is a few simple tools: this includes a power drill and an appropriate drill bit for your wall type, a pencil to mark your wall, a hammer to push in the wall plugs, a tape measure to ensure you install them in the right place and a spirit level to make the headboard panels straight. By following our simple step by step guide, you’ll be able to attach your headboard in no time and start getting plenty of restful sleep!
It’s actually fairly simple to fit a headboard panel to your bedroom wall and all it takes is a few tools and a bit of patience. No matter if you opt for our screw mounted headboard panels or super easy to fit velcro mounted headboard panels, the process is rather simple.
For the headboard panels that require screws to be mounted to your bedroom wall, you’ll need a power drill with an appropriate drill head, a tape measure, hammer and spirit level to ensure everything’s lined up correctly.
Our velcro headboard panels are even easier to install and the only additional tools you’ll need is a tape measure and spirit level once again. To fit them, simply peel away the back of the velcro strips, line up your headboard panel and press them firmly to your wall.
You’ll find a more detailed step by step guide to fitting both types of headboard panels in our step by step guide.
Cleaning your fabric headboard is a very easy process. Regularly vacuuming it with an upholstery attachment is essential for removing a build up of dust, debris and hair that can be allergens that make you sneeze. So, if you find yourself sneezing often, simply vacuuming your headboard regularly can do the trick when it comes to your allergy symptoms.
In the circumstance where a spillage occurs, there’s no need to worry! Tending to the spillage as soon as you possibly can is important for it to not set into a stain. Simply grab a damp cloth with lukewarm water and a light cleaning detergent and blot the area. Don’t rub the area, as this can spread the stain around even further. With a separate dry cloth, dry off any soapy residue or excess water and then leave to dry. Your headboard will be as good as new!
