The more space in a room, the better, but this isn’t always possible. Many people have to make do with a modest bedroom, and did you know bedrooms in new-build homes are smaller than rooms in older homes?
One study by the LABC Warranty company suggests that between 2010 and 2018, the average size of new-build homes reduced by four square metres. The same study also looked at bedrooms, and the findings aren’t exactly pleasant for modern homeowners or buyers.
Back in the 1970s, the average home in the country held 3.52 bedrooms, but by 2019, this had fallen to an average of 2.95 bedrooms per home. Even worse, the size of the average bedroom had dropped too. In a ten-year period from 2008, the average size of a master bedroom reduced by 0.30 metres.
So, with houses and bedrooms getting smaller, it is vital to save space in bedrooms, tiny ones. Thankfully at Aspire, we help people make the best of their homes, and we have excellent storage ideas for your bedroom.
